Jul 2018 Release Note

This is a summary of new features and improvements introduced in the July 1st, 2018 release. If you have any product feature requests, submit them at feedback.treasuredata.com.

Collection: TD SDK Privacy Controls for GDPR

Our SDKs assist in your ongoing compliance with GDPR. You can use new privacy controls in our mobile and Javascript SDKs to meet emerging privacy regulations. You can now:

  • Turn on and turn off capture of some or all events

  • Suppress GDPR personal information like IP addresses in event metadata

  • Reset the unique identifiers (td_uuid for mobile SDK, td_client_id for JS SDK) that link users to their event histories

With these, you can translate your customer data privacy strategy into new options for your users and site visitors.

To ensure compliance with GDPR, we strongly suggest you review your privacy policies with your company's privacy officer, upgrade your Treasure Data SDKs to the latest releases, and implement the behaviors that align with your company's personal data collection strategy and the new law.

Note that the new SDKs do not collect personally identifying information such as the IP address, td_client_id, and td_global_id by default. You must make minor code changes to continue to collect the same data that you collected previously.

For details, see the SDK documentation for JavaScript, Android, iOS and Unity.

Security: Password Policy Configuration

Treasure Data account owners or administrators have increased control over the password policy for their Treasure Data account. You can now specify the complexity of passwords and prevent reuse of recent past passwords. Details are available.

User Experience: My Connections

To make your experience with our interface easier and more efficient, you can now use search and filters to quickly locate your configured connections on the “My Connections” page. Filter by connection owner or integration type (for example, you can click to see all Facebook connections in your account).

This improvement is a direct response to your feedback. If you have questions or comments about this interface change, contact our Support Team.

Collection: Oracle Eloqua (Alpha)

You can now unify and analyze your Oracle Eloqua contact and activity data from Treasure Data’s Customer Data Platform. Whether you’d like to ingest all contacts who have clicked on your latest email campaign or better understand your subscribers, leverage the power of this direct integration.

Note: This integration is currently under private alpha. Contact the Treasure Data team for further details. The connector documentation is available only to alpha participants.

Syndication: Oracle Eloqua (Alpha)

We understand that segmenting your target profiles is not enough unless you can act upon the data. You can syndicate your contacts into an Oracle Eloqua's list of contacts and build targeted campaigns and personalized journeys.

Note: This integration is currently under private alpha. Contact the Treasure Data team for further details. The connector documentation is available only to alpha participants.

Presto: ODBC Driver v1.3.0

A new Presto ODBC Driver is available. You can read more about it and download the latest version.

Integration: Apache Spark Driver v0.3.4

The td-spark library was upgraded to v0.3.4. The library includes bug fixes and performance improvements, including an upgrade to Spark 2.3.0. You can read a bit more about it and download the latest version.
