A dashboard is a collection of one or more widgets that visualize your data. Dashboards usually have one or more filters that affect the dashboard widgets.
You can interact with filters for analyzing data via the Filters pane or through a widget.
Select one or more filters in the Filters pane (on the right side of the dashboard).

Select the pencil icon next to the filter name to display the Filter Definition window.

This action allows you to filter a widget.
Every time you enter or change a filter, the filter applies to your dashboard immediately. Your changes do not affect anyone else. Additionally, you can easily restore the original state of the dashboard by selecting the dashboard menu item and selecting Restore Dashboard.

You can switch filters on and off using the toggle switch. Use this option to compare states (with and without the filter), or to temporarily disable a filter, rather than deleting it.

After you create a chart that you want to use again, you can save the filters and their settings. The current state includes the existing filters: the configuration and the order in which they appear in the filters panel.
In the Filters menu. select Set as My Default Filters.

Select the restore icon next to the Filters menu.
