# Creating an Elasticube Insights Model Using the API

Treasure Insights uses the generic JDBC driver for Presto to configure and build an Insights model. See [JDBC driver for Presto](/tools/cli-and-sdks/jdbc-driver-for-presto) for driver details. Using the driver, you transfer data to the third-party analytics platform; the process can take up to 30 minutes.

Build your Insights model from the databases and tables stored in Treasure Data (Plazma DB). Data saved via the Data Model API is used to create the Insights model in the analytics platform.

1. Name the Insights model.
2. Select database tables from the Treasure Data platform.
  - Define the columns and column types (if needed) to transfer to the analytics platform.
3. Configure the relationship between the selected tables.
4. Configure the Share information.
5. Save the Insights model and build (publish) the Insights model. Treasure Insights dashboards can access the Insights model after the build is complete.
6. Update your Insights model as needed.
