# Excess Usage of Automl Unit Hours Each Treasure Data account with AutoML enabled, has an allowance of unit hours based on your current plan (that includes base tier and add-on allowances). For details on unit hours, see [AutoML Resource Capacity](/products/customer-data-platform/machine-learning/automl/resourcemanagement/automl-resource-capacity). If an overage (excess usage beyond purchased plan capacity) happens in the number of consumed unit hours, Treasure Data contacts you to check if you want to purchase additional unit hours. If you choose to decline additional purchase, task throttling (randomized delays between 1 minute and 10 minutes) is enabled until the overage is resolved. This helps maintain the account's unit hours consumption within the purchased capacity but it is still possible that an account hits overage even after task throttling is enabled, due to continued higher usage. Task throttling is introduced in the account with a warning message in Workflow logs. ## Disable Task Throttling After task throttling is enabled due to overage, it is not automatically disabled from next billing period but depends on reported overage at the end of each calendar month. For example, if an account exceeds the unit hours usage on May 20th, throttling remains enabled until purchase of additional unit hours is completed, or no overage is confirmed at the end of the next month, that is, June end. If overage does not occur for the entire month of June, task throttling is disabled for July.
