# Working With Authentications

Authentications are used to import data from or export data to an external resource using a Treasure Data data connector. When you configure an integration, you provide authentication to access an external tool. In Treasure Data, you configure the authentication and then specify the source information.

You can see a full set of integrations at Integrations **Hub** > **Catalog**. Go to [Integrations](https://docs.treasuredata.com/smart/project-integrations/treasure-data-integrations-by-technology-vertical) for specific details on each.

Each integration tile has either Learn More or Create as an option.

* Learn More will take you to the support article for that connector because other steps must be taken to connect to this integration.
* Create opens a dialog and you must edit the required credentials. Each integration has its own method of authentication. For further explanation of how to authenticate for that specific integration connection, you can select Learn More in the dialog box.

When you don't use the UI to create a data connector, you can configure a data connection by creating a .yml file. The documentation for each specific data connection provides steps for configuring a data connection both using the UI and, alternatively, creating a .yml file.

Treasure Data also offers integrations that do not have a UI implementation, for example for Bulk Import, drivers, and API-based Webhooks and Postbacks.
