Creating Real Time Personalization Services With Data Workbench

You can configure real-time personalization services in Data Workbench that provide you with authorization tokens for calling the Personalization 2.0 API.

Create a Personalization Service

To create a personalization configuration:

  1. Open TD Console.
  2. From TD Console (Legacy), select the diamond icon to display the TD console.
  3. From the left column, select the Data Workbench icon .
  4. From the Parent Segments page, select the parent segment you want to create a personalization for.

The segment you select must be a real-time-enabled segment.

  1. On the Personalization Configuration row, select Configure settings.

The Personalization Configuration page displays a list of the configured personalizations.

  1. Select Create new personalized service.
  2. Enter a Name and a Description (optional) for the Personalized service.
  3. Select Create Personalized Service.

The personalized service is displayed on the Personalization Configuration page.

Before you can add tokens to your personalization, you may need to revalidate your account access with your SSO identity provider. To do this sign out of the TD Console. Then log back in and navigate back to Personalization Configuration page.

Edit a Personalization Service

To edit a personalization service:

  1. From the Personalization Configuration page in Data Workbench, select the personalization you want to edit.

  1. In the Details section, select the edit icon .

  2. Make your changes and select Save.

  3. In the Tokens section, to edit an existing token, select the edit icon .

  4. Make your changes and select Save.

  5. Additionally, you can add a new token by selecting Add token.

  6. On the Add token page, enter a Name for the token and a comma-separated list of IP addresses to the IP Whitelist. If you do not specify any IP addresses, the white list will default to your Treasure Data account's IP whitelist.

  7. Select Add Token.

The personalization service that you edited is displayed on the Personalization Configuration page. The names of any tokens you have configured are also displayed.

A personalization supports a maximum of 50 tokens.

Get the Token for a Personalization Service

To get an authentication token from a personalization service:

  1. From the Personalization Configuration page in Data Workbench, select the personalization that has the token you want.
  2. In the Tokens section, select the icon.
  3. For the token you want, select the icon to copy the token to the clipboard.
