# Using a Segment in a Segment Insights Dashboards

You need to open batch segments in order to visualize all the defined Segment Insights Dashboards for the specified parent segment.

The maximum number of dashboards that can be defined per parent segment is five.

1. Open TD Console.
2. Navigate to **Audience Studio** and select the Parent Segment you want.
3. Choose the batch segment with which you want to visualize the defined Segment Insights Dashboards and select **Edit segment rules.**

1. Select the **Segment insights** tab, which automatically populates with the default dashboard if there is only one or with the most recently saved dashboard.

1. If your dashboard is not the default selection, you can choose the appropriate dashboard in the Segment insights drop-down list.

1. The rules you added are visible in the Segment Insights, and on the right, you can search for and select which additional rules to apply to your dashboard.

1. Name each rule you configure.

1. Select the refresh button after adding up editing rules to view updated insights.

2. As you adjust your selected rule sets, you can view the count of profiles corresponding to the segment rule as applied to the dashboard.

1. Select **Save** or **Save and close** on the bottom right to update the segment rules and close the modal.
