This article explains how to create a real-time segment.

Limitations

• Real-time segments cannot use Group Attributes and Group Behaviors (see About Parent Segments that Support Hierarchical Grouping).

Prerequisites

• A parent segment must exist before you can create a real-time segment.
• A behavior table must be set up in the parent segment.
• You must have Website Tracking configured on your website.

Create a Real-time Segment

1. Open TD Console.
2. Navigate to Audience Studio.

1. Using the drop-down, select the Parent Segment from which you want to create a segment.

1. Select Create New.

1. The Create New dialog opens. Select Segment. Select Real-time for Segment Type.

1. Name the segment and select Create.
2. Select X, Cancel, or the ESC key to exit the segment editor.
