Householding Overview

Householding is available upon request. For more information, contact your Customer Success Representative.

The Householding solution allows you to create a two-level group hierarchy that supports individual profiles being organized into households. This capability allows marketers to build audiences more effectively based on group attributes or behaviors:

  • Group attributes : Household size, estimated household income, region, and location.
  • Group behaviors : Last login, calls to customer support, and the number of purchases.

The previous illustration shows that two of the twelve individuals surveyed about home insurance responded, indicating a 17% response rate.

Householding is integrated with the following Treasure Data products:

  • Batch segments : Identify an audience using group attributes and behaviors.'
  • Journeys : Define journey entry/exit and decision point criteria using group attributes and behaviors.
  • A/B Testing : Test audiences can be defined using group attributes and behaviors.
  • Activations : Group attributes can be configured as an output column for personalization by external systems.
  • Predictive Scoring : Group attributes are available to define the parameters of a predictive model.
  • Treasure Insights : Uncover insights and visualization using group attributes and group behaviors.

Limitations

  • Customer Journey Orchestration : You cannot see how many households (accounts) qualify initially for entry/exit criteria and decision points in the Journey Canvas.
  • Account Relationship Visualizations : You cannot visually review the relationship between profiles and organizations.
  • Account Details Review : The UI does not support review profile information with the associated group attributes or behaviors in the Segment Builder Profiles tab or the Segment Overview > Profiles tab within Audience Studio.
  • Parent Segment API Creation : You can only use the parent segment API to create a parent segment that enables group hierarchy.
  • Group Behavior Output Restrictions : You cannot use group behaviors as output columns.
  • Segment Insights Visualizations : You cannot create segment insight visualizations with group attributes and behaviors.
  • Profile API Limitations : The Profiles API does not support group attributes and behaviors.
