Data Engineers typically change activation templates. To make changes, you must have Full Access permissions to Activation Templates and View or Full permissions to Integrations Hub.

- Choose one of the following:
- Select the root folder of a parent segment, and then select Assets.
- Right-click an existing template and select Edit Activation Template or Edit Template.

- To edit a batch or batch journey activation template, make the desired changes in the pop-up windows and select Update.

| Edit unlocked/locked fields | Any edits to an activation template will also update the activations created from the template. Locked fields : Changes are reflected in the activations created from the template. Unlocked fields : Any updates are not applied to the activations created from the template. |
| Update schedules | If you change a schedule from Does not repeat to a new repeat frequency, the activations created from the template will not be modified. |
- Right-click the activation template and select Publish template. Alternately, select the ellipses menu (...) on the top right and select Publish template.

- Select Publish on the pop-up window.
After you publish an activation template, the status changes to Published. You cannot change unlocked fields to locked fields or change a published template back to the Public Status.
You can duplicate and move activation templates to a different folder within a parent segment.
Treasure Data will only display folders that have edit access.
- Right-mouse-click the activation template and select Duplicate. Alternately, select the ellipses menu (...) on the top right and select Duplicate.

- Complete the form.

| Duplication folder | Select a single folder from the drop-down list. Only folders in the parent segment that have edit access will display. |
| Description | (Optional) Enter a description of the activation template. |
- Select Duplicate.
If you are deleting a Journey activation template, it must be in the draft or published stage.
- Right-click the activation template and select Delete. Alternately, select the ellipses menu (...) on the top right and select Delete template.

- Select Delete.
If an activation template has already been used to create activations, a message displays asking you to 'Enter the number of activations that will fail because of this deletion'. Enter the number displayed in the message and select Delete.
