# Chat Data Retention Policy

The Treasure Data AI Agent Foundry stores customer's chat history data in a certain period that the administrator users configured. The default number is 28 days.
The administrator users can choose the number of days from 14, 28, and 60 days as preferrence through the Console.

Note
Once the retention period ends, your chat history will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

1. Navigate to `Control Panel`
2. Click Chat Data Retention menu
3. Authenticate if the `Validate access` modal is popped up

1. Click `pencil` icon
2. Choose a number of days from 14/28/60 and save
