A project comprises knowledge bases, agents, and Integrations. There are two types of projects:
- Managed : A dedicated project for the Audience Studio domain that the AI Framework creates. Typically, the CDP API creates the project whenthe LLM feature is enabled at the particular parent segment configuration, including a knowledge base, agents, etc. For example, Audience Agent is a managed project.
- Self-defined : A project that you create from scratch for specific business needs.

A managed project for Audience Agents is automatically created by turning it on the Parent Segment Config. Follow the instruction on enable the parent segment to support AI projects.
Treasure Data will delete all projects and project assets if you disable support for AI Agents at the parent segment level.
Follow these steps to create a self-defined project.
- Open TD Console.
- Navigate to AI Agent Foundry.
- Select Projects.

- Select Create project.

You cannot have duplicate project names in the AI Agent Foundry
- Enter a project name and optionally include a description.
- Select Create.
