# Changing User Types

You must be an account owner or administrator to change an existing user type. You can change a restricted user to an admin user.

1. Open TD Console.
2. Navigate to **Control Panel** > **Users.**
3. Select a specific user
4. Select the edit pencil to edit the user's personal information.
5. Scroll down to **User Type** and select the desired role.

6. Select **Save**.
