Policy-based database permissions allow administrators the ability to set database permissions at the policy level. Assigning permissions per policy accomplishes the following:
- More granular database permission assignment
- Administration efficiencies for database permissions and users
After the policy-based database permission feature is enabled, database access at the user level is no longer available. You cannot revert to the previous database access (legacy).
If the policy has full database permissions access, all databases in the account are accessible to the assigned policy users, including the ability to create new databases, manage, and delete existing databases.
- Open TD Console.
- Navigate to the Control Panel > Policies.
- Select a policy.
- Select Permissions.
- In Database Workbench, select the pencil icon to edit the policy.
