How Authentications Permissions Affect Exporting Results

Authentication permissions affect exporting results privileges.

Authentications: Full + Export Results: Full

If Export Results to Destination is Full, the user is able to export to any destination by selecting existing authentications or by creating new ones.

Authentications: View + Export Results: Full

If Authentications permissions is View and Export Results to Destination is Full, the user is able to export to any destination selecting existing authentications only.

Authentications: Limited + Export Results: Full

For both limited authentications: Manage Own Authentication and Allow View for Specific Authentications, if the user has permissions to Export Results to Destination, the user can perform the following actions:

  • New Export Query: The user can create a new export query.
  • Existing Export Query: The user can change the authentication configuration

Authentications: None + Export Results: Full

If Authentication permission is None and Export Results to Destination is Full, one of two results will occur.

  1. If the destination has already been chosen by another user with Full or View Authentication permissions, the user is still able to select Export Results and run the query.
  2. If no destination has already been chosen by another user with Full or View Authentication permissions, the user will be unable to select a destination and an error code will occur.

Authentications: None + Export Results: None

If both Authentications and Export Results to Destination are not selected, the user does not have the option to Export Results.

The option is unavailable.
