# Applying Policies

Policies consist of a combination of permissions. You apply policies to your users and can also apply users to policies.

If you change permissions within a policy, the effect is immediate (after the changes are saved) and the permission changes affect all the users who are assigned to the policy.

1. Open TD Console.
2. Navigate to **Control Panel** > **Policies**.

1. Select the specific policy to apply users.

2. Select **Applied To**.

3. To select users, search for the user by name or move users with the arrows to the right pane.

6. Select **Save**.

1. (Optional) Select the policy and select **Applied to** validate that all the users for which you wanted the policy applied to are listed.

# Applying Users to Policies

1. Open TD Console.
2. Navigate to **Control Panel** > **Users**.
3. Select a user.
4. Select **Policies**.
5. Select the pencil icon to make changes.

1. Use the > and < buttons to add or remove policies applied to the user.
2. Select **Save**.
