# Authentication Requirement When Configuring Settings

As the account owner or as an administrator, you are required to re-authenticate before you can make changes to an account's sign-in settings.

When signed in using SSO, you also must re-authenticate if your TD Console browser session is idle for a certain duration. The need to re-authenticate and the idle time is not based on session timeout.
