Arm Treasure Data provides several sites for access to the platform and endpoints for access to specific components in a site.
Arm Treasure Data service is offered from multiple sites. Each site (previously referred to as region) provides a home for data, and is assigned at the Treasure Data account owner level.
Large organizations might operate in multiple Treasure Data sites but each site is independent, maintaining its own user accounts and databases. Data cannot be copied directly between sites.
The site you are assigned is based on:
Physical location of users
Compliance with data residency requirements associated with applicable data privacy laws, such as Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Sites are US, Japan, Europe, and Korea. For Europe, all data physically resides in Germany, to comply with both GDPR and the German Privacy Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz).
Treasure Data’s service is primarily API-based. TD offers multiple clients in various languages to access the APIs.
You use endpoints corresponding to your site to access the Treasure Data Platform.
