Datorama with Treasure Data

This article describes how to use Datorama with Treasure Data. Datorama supports Treasure Data natively.

Table of Contents

Prerequisites

  • Datorama account
  • Basic knowledge of Treaure Data
  • Requires access to the new Presto-specific JDBC/ODBC API, currently in Private Beta. Please contact your account representative if you’d like access to this new feature.

Step 1: Create “Data Stream”

First, please click Data Streams parent tab and then Data Streams child tab. Next, find Treasure Data under Technical Vendors category and click the icon.

Then, please specify your data stream Name, Data Stream Type, and Default Channel Name.

Then, you’ll set Connection Info from the dialog below.

Please set each fields like below.

  • Delivery Method: Databases
  • Connection String: jdbc:presto://api-presto.treasuredata.com:443/td-presto/database
  • Credentials - User: “YOUR_API_KEY”
  • Credentials - Password: (Empty)
  • Query: “YOUR_TREASURE_DATA_QUERY”

Click Validate button. If it shows Success! dialog, your setup was succeeded.

Step 2: Data Mapping

When you click Next button, Treasure Data SQL query will be executed and Datorama shows a list of columns of the result. In this screen, you will map your original columns to Datorama’s global columns. With Datorama’s auto mapping algorithm, some columns may be already mapped based on your previous mapping activities.

For the rest of the column, which is not mapped, you can manually map with global columns.

Click Save button to finalize the mapping phase. If it shows Error like below, you must resolve these errors to proceed to the next phase.

Data Preview will show the actual records retrieved from Treasure Data inside Datorama. Check if the records are correct, then click Continue.

Finally, your data will be ingested into Datorama. It should show Processing Complete! message once it’s completed.
